Bharatpur Hospital sets up isolation ward for corona virus patient
Chitwan, Feb 1 : Bharatpur Hospital has maintained high alert after the epidemic of corona virus spread from neighbouring country China. For the patients suspected of corona virus, it has set up an isolation ward.
Medical superintendent Shreeram Tiwari informed that an isolation ward was established so that the people suspected of corona virus could be provided special treatment. The isolation ward has five beds.
Special doctors Pramod Poudel and Kalyan Sapkota have been given responsibility to run the ward. Both of them are physicians. Arrangement is made to conduct test in case of need and send the specimen to the National Public Health Laboratory, Kathmandu.
Similarly, information officer at the Hospital Leeladhar Poudel said process was underway to publish awareness poster and pamphlets on the corona virus and disseminate to the larger public. He suggested the people to maintain cleanliness and personal hygiene, stay away from domestic and wild animals and consult doctors immediately in case of the symptoms like that of the flu.
